I supervised Marc Sala Codina during his BSc thesis titled ‘ROS Educational Robot Kit’, which was defended at ‘Universitat de Vic (UVic-UCC) for the Degree on Mechatronics. In that project, he worked together with Sergi de las Muelas Acosta, they both developed ROSNI, a low-cost ROS initiation kit, they also studied the feasibility of introducing the product to the market. The kit consists of several tools (hardware and software) to help beginner and intermediate users to learn ROS with a real robot. I use three prototypes of the robot that they designed and built for the laboratory sessions of the course ‘Mobile Robotics’, at the same university and degree.

Marc is a passionate and motivated person, always eager to work and learn. It was truly enjoyable for me to accompany him in his learning experience at the last year of his degree program.
